How to cure homosexuality, according to Christians
Psychologists have long declared that homosexuality is NOT a disease, and that trying to convert gays into being heterosexual may, in fact, be even more damaging. However, there are still a lot of Christian groups who will stop at nothing just to “cure” us (for a fee, of course).
The video below is an episode of the Foreign Correspondence show by ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), which delves into the movement of Curing Homosexuality in the United States, a growing movement by Christian activist groups. The film interviews leaders of the gay conversion movement as well as the homosexuals who think that all it accomplishes is making gays hate themselves. Some of the leaders in the gay conversion movement are former gays themselves and have become straight. Now, apparently, they’re in a mission to save other sinners. You be the judge.

The therapist in the beginning still has many gay tendencies, and I feel that his homosexuality is not eradicated, simply repressed. I don’t think he’ll be happy once the brainwashing wears off.
This line of reasoning is so immature. “Penises don’t fit inside each other, and vagina’s don’t fit inside each other.” There’s nothing more that needs to be said about this, except that it is absurd how people are convinced by this sort of logic.
The thing people don’t get is that homosexuality is a very important part of nature, it provides diversity and adaptability, and in a social context, (humans are *very* social creatures) it can allow for better communication, for example if a straight male and a straight female can not possibly see each other’s viewpoint a gay male will be able to translate the female’s point of view into a way the straight male will be able to understand. Of course that is only one example. Being gay has many benefits for society, reproduction is only part of the picture.
