Dani Campbell may have come out broken-hearted after the last episode of A Shot at Love, but things have certainly picked up since then. Busier than ever, Dani Campbell is balancing things between her career as a firefighter (yep, she’s still there) and being the hottest futch on the planet. It must be tough being virtually a lesbian icon.

If you wanna catch her, here’s what’s on Dani Campbell’s calendar for the next few months:

    Dani’s charming grandma bids farewell

I haven’t had the chance to read Dani’s blog for a while now, and so I was both surprised and sad to hear about the news. Her Grandma Pat died last January 20. We all know her from that brief but memorable time that she was on A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. She was an awesome person and a lot of people saw that. Dani Campbell is lucky to have such a loving family.

    You’ll be missed, Grandma Pat.

I just wanted to let everyone know that grandma pat died this past Sunday. She died in her sleep at the hospital while under the care of hospice.

Grandma had been diagnosed with bone cancer 7 years ago. The longest anyone has lived with that type of cancer is about 10 years. She lived a full life and will no longer have to deal with the pain she was suffering from.

Again I would like to thank the many people that sent my grandmother cards and gifts. It really made a big difference in her last days. My family also wants to thank you. Anyone who went to visit her would have to read at least 50 cards to her! She absolutely loved them all.

I wish I could send a thank you letter to everybody for their support, but it’s just not possible. Please know that every letter counted.

Thank you to all Grandma’s fans,
    Xoxo Dani

Tila and Dani hug in the Finale

Both groundbreaking and well-criticized, the runaway hit ultimately disappointed its huge lesbian fan-base after Tila Tequila picked Bobby over Dani Campbell. The finale aired 10pm Tuesday night on MTV.

If one were political, this could be seen as yet another triumph of the patriarchy. If one hated Tila, it would be a relief. And if one wants Dani, it would be a time to party.

Tila Tequila’s Dani as the Futch model

Dani Campbell, lesbiandom’s favorite firefighter, is branching out next year with the launch of her very own fashion brand called Futch. That’s the term she popularized after describing herself as not really butch, not really femme, but somewhere in the middle. Dani is on the final two of MTV’s surprise breakaway hit “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila”.

Episode 8: Tila Tequila gets a shot at love, family love

The verdict is in. A Shot at Love’s Fab Four are Bobby, Amanda, Ryan, and every lesbian’s favorite firefighter Dani. Let’s give the last episode a recap. With only a few contestants remaining, Tila Tequila packed her bags to meet each of her would be in-laws. As if meeting one set of parents was not enough, she had to go out and impress four of them. Any other girl would be quite nervous at the mere thought, but not our girl Tila. The MySpace queen had no qualms whatsoever introducing herself as bisexual. I think she may have even been hoping for shocked faces, and oh she got plenty of that.
