It’s out! After an exciting 3-issue Faith arc, the Season 8 comics kicks off 2008 with an introspective issue. Willow and Buffy re-examine their friendship, Kennedy makes an appearance, Dawn opens up to Xander, and some shocking secrets are revealed. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is alive and well this 2008. Here’s a look at the cover:

If you’ve been following Season 8, you’ll notice that for such an important character in Season 7, Kennedy (played by Iyari Limon) has been rarely mentioned in the comics. Willow’s whereabouts in-between seasons has also been fuzzy. Issue 10 attempts to answer some of our questions and, if we’re gonna talk about Willow’s past, it wouldn’t be complete without…

But it’s not all drama. Buffy and Willow play “Anywhere But Here”, a fantasy game they invented back at Sunnydale. We get to know Buffy’s newest celebrity crush: none other than the new rough-and-tough James Bond, Daniel Craig.

And Willow, who apparently crushes on Emmy-winning writer and comedian Tina Fey. Darn, Joss. That’s brilliant!

If you were to play “Anywhere But Here”, what would be your fantasy? Mine is riding a classic Vespa scooter around Rome with the beautiful Audrey Hepburn. Mmmm…
