With the dizzying developments in Buffy Season 8, a lot of questions are being raised. One question I’m particularly eager to get answered is, “What’s Faith gonna say?” I think it’s the hidden Fuffy in me surfacing. I’d make a fanfic myself but I’m already busy writing one on Star Trek: Voyager. So, I decided to hunt for Buffy and Faith fanfiction.

Slayer-to-slayer ships have been sailing for a while, but now it’s officially canon (Buffy/Satsu, at least). Does that make fan fiction superfluous? I don’t think so. There are still a lot of gaps in-between pages that just begs for fanfic. I don’t know if Faith should be envious or sorry for Satsu (the poor kid). I guess Buffy now has the distinction of being the first and only slayer to have sex with another slayer (unless the other slayerettes are doing something we don’t know). Past slayers were always alone, never having the opportunity to keep such company.

So what are we going to call Buffy/Satsu now? “Batsu” seems to be the most popular contraction, but my friend says it means “wrong” in Japanese. Alternately, it can also mean “punishment”. Doesn’t seem to be a good omen. Hmmm, let’s see… Suffy? Butsu? Bufsu? Buffu? Saffy? Hey! That last one feels more appropriate. Saffy > Sappho. Uh-huh. Lesbilicious indeed.
